The Political Identities of Students and the Undergraduate College Environment | GWU

Date

December 14th, 2022

Access

This paper explores the relationship between the preexisting political affiliations of
undergraduate college students in America and two key aspects of the undergraduate college
experience that inform their identities: if and how students with predisposed ideas on certain,
namely contentious subjects retain new information presented in their courses and the identity
relationships students form with various other members of their campus community that further
impact how they engage with new ideas.
