About

My Life
I was born August 27th, 2003 in the city of Asheville, North Carolina. For the next 18 years I called various parts of Western North Carolina my home.

As a child, I pursued a passion with film and television that cumulated in 2015-2016 when I briefly lived in the suburbs of Los Angeles and attended child acting conferences and agent meetups.

As that passion died down and the 2016 presidential election broiled over, an interest in politics emerged that became my primary fixation through middle and high school. During which I Independently published 4 political science and commentary books. I was also the host of two politics & news podcasts during high school.

I attended my first undergraduate semester at the George Washington University before transferring to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2023, where I am earning my B.A. in Political Science with a minor in journalism, an interest that was simultaneously struck in me my senior year of high school.

I have been a contributing writer for two university student news publications, and continue to write on my substack account.
My Background
My primary interest and expertise is in political science. I have been involved in political commentary since I was 14 years old, and have evolved a unique voice over the years to fit my extraordinary experience.

My research interests lie at the heart of an interdisciplinary trifecta consisting of American studies, political theory (in particular, theories of political identity, community and electoral engagement), and continental philosophy (in particular, existential philosophy and politics). I ask questions about why people identify the way they do politically, and how electoral activation and mobilization changes that, the role of values in political self constitution, particularly in the American context. This inquiry is framed by an existential metaphysics that I think the true political subject must confront in order to be the most effective agent of their own interests and the interests of others. I'm also interested in democratic theory and the meaning of representation based on these kinds of parameters.

I adopted a burgeoning interest in journalism and writing late in high school, learning the skills to the unique writing of AP style alongside my extensive experience with academic writing styles such as Chicago 17th ed. and APA style. This expansive knowledge base has made me a dynamic and expressive writer all-around.
