Opinion: DOGE is the deep state | The Niner Times

Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) claims to be a waste-cutting warrior against a 'deep state' that utilizes the federal bureaucracy to take advantage of Americans. Yet, neither Musk nor President Donald Trump has provided significant evidence of this intentional waste or exploitation on the part of civil servants. Rather, they have beefed up their own immunity and power and pointed it at political opponents, creating the very deep state they say they are out to destroy.
