Train is About to Move: How Transit Makes Charlotte | UNCC

“Train is About to Move” is not only the story of a ride on Charlotte’s LYNX Blue Line, but a larger story about how transit is the lifeblood of a city. Through transit, a city earns urban development, culture, bolsters economy, and “moves” into its collective future. Just as the announcement warns you the train is about to move, so too is Charlotte. The question becomes will you stay on board and help make it the city you want to live in, or step off and cling to your personal bubble. I hope this project confronts viewers with these ideas the way that riding the train every day does for me.
